HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

In 2005, we met a lady while visiting some people in Kitengela and something triggered us to talk to her whereby she welcomed us in her house. The lady shared with us how she lost her husband four years back and was left with six children; two girls and four boys.

She further told us that it was their second day without food and that they only took warm glass of water for those two days. She had no proper job that would see her feed her six children. She normally did odd jobs like washing clothes for people and by this she could only raise Kshs 100 and at times Kshs 200 which was barely enough to meet her needs as well as that of her children. This really touched us.

We later on met a lot of children who were undergoing similar issues and from this point we knew we had to do something as soon as possible. We took an immediate action by starting a feeding program that would at least see these children having something to eat.

The feeding program started with six children but with time the number increased. During our feeding programs we discovered that many children needed more than that and this birthed the Children Orphanage project.

Jeloreth Children Foundation has become a home for the less fortunate children, a shelter for the neglected children and a God given gift to the orphans and the community as a whole.

It takes a community to raise a child, thus we call on you to journey with us and try our best as possible to bring joy to the lives of these children.

Every child deserves to be happy.
